Nickel-Métal-Hydride (NiMH)
Nickel-Metal Hydride technology is a type of rechargeable accumulator that uses nickel hydroxide as the positive electrode and a hydrogen-absorbing alloy as the negative electrode. It was developed as an alternative to NiCd batteries, offering higher capacity and reduced toxic substances.
Caractéristiques :
NiMH technology was a leading technology before the advent of Li-Ion, being more economical and characterized by:
- No legislative constraints on transport (unlike Li-ion)
- Relatively high energy density
- Very wide temperature range (-40°C to +85°C)
