Aeronautics

  • For many years, WILLIAMSON ELECTRONIQUE has supplied the leading manufacturers of Cospas-Sarsat aviation distress beacons. These beacons locate an aircraft after a crash and must operate for 48 h between –40 °C and +60 °C. For this application, we mainly use Li-MnO₂ and Li-SO₂ technologies.
  • We also develop battery packs to provide the necessary power for ground applications (perimeter aircraft protection, runway lighting). These products may use Lithium-ion, Ni-Cd, or Ni-MH technologies.
  • We regularly collaborate with aerospace OEMs on specific developments, notably using supercapacitors and Lithium-Ion cells.

Space – Launchers

  • We have developed and designed Li-ion battery packs installed on space launchers. These projects tangibly demonstrate our batteries’ high-performance capabilities, withstanding accelerations of several thousands G.

Space – Micro and Nano Satellites

  • Williamson Electronique develops packs to operate systems positioned in Earth orbit.

The advantages of our lithium-ion batteries

  • High energy density for maximum power and endurance
  • Long lifecycle for reliable, long-term operation
  • Low weight for improved energy efficiency
  • Optimal safety for use in critical environments
