Williamson Electronique announces its membership in GICAT, the French association of land and air-land defense and security industries. With 45 years of experience in energy storage and management solutions, our SME is taking a new step to assert its role within the Defense Industrial and Technological Base (BITD), strengthen collaborations, and showcase its innovations to key players in the sector.
A Strategic Membership
Williamson Electronique is proud to announce its integration into GICAT (Groupement des Industries Françaises de Défense et de Sécurité terrestres et aéroterrestres). This membership marks a new step for our SME, which has over 45 years of experience in designing and manufacturing energy storage and management solutions in France, in its commitment to technological sovereignty and innovation in the service of national defense.
What is GICAT?
Created in 1978, GICAT is the professional association that brings together French industries working in land and air-land defense and security. Its role:
- Represent and defend the interests of French defense companies with public authorities and institutions.
- Promote innovation, export, and cooperation between major players, mid-sized companies, and SMEs in the sector.
- Organize around fifty events each year: trade shows (including Eurosatory), foresight circles, thematic forums, to foster the sharing of expertise and partnerships.
With nearly 480 members, including 80% SMEs, GICAT constitutes a dynamic ecosystem, generating 110,000 direct jobs and several tens of billions of euros in revenue for the French Defense Industrial and Technological Base (BITD).

Salon du Bourget édition 2025
For the first time, Williamson Electronique took part in the Paris Air Show at Le Bourget, held from June 15 to 21, 2025. At a booth brought to life with full-scale prototypes, we showcased our high-density Li-ion batteries for drones and emergency beacons, as well as our intelligent management module (BMS), attracting an audience of decision-makers and engineers. This presence led to the establishment of over a dozen new contacts with innovative SMEs, paving the way for upcoming pilot projects and collaborations.
